Krishna is an improved East Indian lemongrass variety developed by the CSIR-CIMAP sub-centre in Bangalore. It is a medium-tall, high-tillering aromatic grass valued for its high biomass production and citral-rich essential oil.

Planting and Care

Plant the slips in fertile, well-drained soil in a location receiving full sunlight. Maintain approximately 45–60 cm spacing between plants. Water regularly during establishment, but avoid waterlogging. The leaves can be harvested repeatedly after the plants become well established.
