Black Shade Tomato is an attractive dark-coloured tomato variety that produces flavourful fruits with deep red, purple and blackish shades. The juicy tomatoes have a rich, balanced taste and are ideal for salads, sandwiches, sauces and fresh eating.
Plants grow best in fertile, well-draining soil and full sunlight. Provide stakes, cages or a trellis to support the branches as the fruits develop.
Germination Instructions:
Sow the seeds approximately 5 mm deep in a moist, well-draining seed-starting mix. Maintain a temperature of 21–27°C and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Seeds generally germinate within 7–14 days.
When the seedlings develop 2–3 true leaves, transplant them into individual pots. Move the plants outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Space plants approximately 45–60 cm apart.
