Kambili Naranga, commonly known as Pomelo, Pummelo, or Shaddock, is the largest citrus fruit in the world. Native to Southeast Asia, this fruit resembles a giant grapefruit but has a sweeter, milder flavor with a refreshing citrus aroma. The plant is a medium to large evergreen tree with glossy green leaves, fragrant white blossoms, and large round to pear-shaped fruits covered by a thick rind. Pomelo thrives in warm, humid climates with well-drained soil and full sunlight. Rich in Vitamin C, antioxidants, and dietary fiber, Kambili Naranga is enjoyed fresh, in salads, juices, or desserts. Apart from its culinary value, the plant adds ornamental beauty to home gardens and orchards.
